COALIT’s client won the contract to supply and manage the ticketing and entry systems at all venues throughout the UK for the Olympic Games London 2012. In order to successfully deliver this COAL IT was engaged to provide a flexible resource solution to assist with the provision of ‘on-demand’ IT support services throughout London 2012.

A phased delivery of IT implementation and support engineers with skills and experience ranging from basic break-fix to desk side trouble-shooting and 2nd-line support staff were provided along with a dedicated PMO resource. This was essential to the successful delivery of this high profile engagement and ensured the administrative responsibilities associated with the supply of resources, such as accreditation, inductions, scheduling and co-ordination of resources and tracking time and cost was managed effectively.

This engagement commenced with the installation and testing activities at all Olympic venues (Olympic Park and Off-Park venues) and continued with support activities throughout the Games schedule. This was followed up with subsequent activities such as decommissioning from Olympic venues, transition to and subsequent support Paralympic venues followed by all decommission activities thereafter.
